Welcome to the Barrie Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, home of the County Chordsmen Chorus We are a group of 67 men who share a common joy of singing four part harmony in a unique a cappella style which dates back to the beginning of the 20th century when singing was part of community entertainment.
Our chapter is active in raising funds for Harmonize for Speech which sponsors speech related projects and equipment at hospitals, clinics and treatment centres throughout Ontario. The fund also provides text books bursaries and scholarships for Speech Pathology / Audiology students and research funding at various Universities. The 32 Ontario chapters of the Barbershop Harmony Society have raised over $4,500,000 for Harmonize for speech and the Barrie Chapter contributes $16,000 plus each year
